Who we are

Neville Thurlbeck is a multi award-winning journalist and the founder of ClearVista Media. Neville spent 23 years on Fleet Street, rising to become the News Editor of the biggest selling newspaper in the world.

Due to his experience and broad range of media contacts, Neville has been called upon to assist and advise clients as diverse as The Retail Ombudsman, the International Fur Federation and the X Factor winner Joe McElderry.

He has also helped several very high profile clients with his uniquely tailored crisis management packages, averting a potential media storm. Having famously survived reputational Armageddon himself when he was drawn into the News International crisis, Neville is in demand in this area.

Neville has won numerous press awards, including winning the British Press Awards Scoop of the YearAward twice, a record which remains unbeaten. He is also a published author; his book "Tabloid Secrets" is the inside story on how some of his biggest newspaper scoops were broken.

Neville regularly lectures on the media, PR and crisis management and has been invited to address both the Cambridge Union and the Oxford Union. He has appeared as a commentator on many high profile TV and radio shows and appears regularly on the Russia Today TV channel.

He is assisted by a team of PR and media professionals with a vast experience of media work at a national level.

Neville Thurlbeck’s autobiography, Tabloid Secrets, is published by Biteback and gives an account of how the popular newspaper industry works, as seen through the prism of his biggest stories.

ClearVista Media has had a broad range of clients from regulatory and industry organisations, through celebrities, entertainers and major charities. Clear Vista Media has also recently been retained to provide the communications and marketing strategy for a major £330 million city centre redevelopment scheme.

International Fur Federation

Industry trade organisation

Neville is the Director of Communications for the International Fur Federation. He and his team are responsible for handling the global communications for this industry body, which turns over £30 billion per annum. The International Fur Federation (IFF) is the only organisation to represent the international fur industry, with 40 member countries.

The Retail Ombudsman

Government approved non-profit organisation

An independent 'not for profit' and impartial organisation that specialises in resolving consumer disputes. ClearVista Media successfully launched the new Retail Ombudsman scheme across all media platforms in 2014. For two years, Neville was the organisation's Director of Communications and was supported by his team at ClearVista Media.

Clear Vista Media represents Soldiering On Through Life, founded by Wing Commander Tal Lambert MBE, which grants awards to deserving veterans via their judging panel led by General the Lord Dannatt, former head of the British Army and culminates in an awards dinner for 560 guests.
